A hook is not an intro, it is a promise
Most content opens with an intro: "Hi everyone, today we are talking about…". Those are two seconds wasted. A real hook gives the audience a clear reason to stay: a question that sparks curiosity, a number that shocks, or a promise of direct value.
The rule: do not introduce yourself, introduce the value. In the first second nobody cares who you are, they care what they will get.
Three hooks that always work
The painful question: "Posting every day with no sales?" speaks to a real pain.
The shocking number: "98% of ads fail because of the first line." Numbers stop the eye.
The reversal: "Do not shoot your product with professional lighting." Breaking expectations grabs attention.
Test, do not guess
The same content with three different hooks gives three completely different results. Do not rely on taste. Publish, watch completion rate, and repeat what works. Numbers decide, not feelings.
