Mistake one: targeting everyone
"I want to reach as many people as possible" is the fastest way to burn a budget. A broad audience means cheap clicks from people who never buy. Narrow, deliberate targeting costs more per click and far less per actual order.
Mistake two: a single ad
You launch one version and wait. The right way: 3 to 5 variants with different hooks and visuals on the same audience, a small test budget, then scale the winner and kill the rest.
Mistake three: no tracking
Without a pixel and proper conversion tracking you are flying blind. You need to know exactly which ad brought which order, otherwise every decision is a guess.
Mistakes four and five
A weak landing page: The ad is great but leads to a slow or unconvincing page. The return is lost at the last step.
No patience for learning: Stopping the campaign after two days. The algorithm needs data. Give it a week before judging.
